Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making condomanual.com usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. Last reviewed July 7, 2026.

Our commitment

The authors of The Florida Condominium Owner’s Manual are committed to ensuring that condomanual.com is accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities and those who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice-input software, and keyboard-only navigation. Everyone should be able to learn about the book and request the free chapter without barriers.

Conformance standard

We work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the internationally recognized standard commonly applied to web accessibility obligations under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We review the site periodically and address issues as they are identified.

Measures we have taken

  • A “Skip to content” link so keyboard and screen reader users can bypass the navigation on every page.
  • Descriptive text alternatives on images, and decorative graphics marked so screen readers skip them.
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators on links, buttons, form fields, and expandable sections.
  • Semantic HTML headings, landmarks, and labeled form controls, including the email signup forms.
  • Keyboard support for all interactive components, including the chapter accordions and the readiness quiz, which uses standard buttons throughout.
  • Color contrast chosen to meet WCAG AA on text and interactive elements.
  • Reduced-motion support: animations are disabled for visitors whose devices request reduced motion.
  • Touch targets sized for comfortable use on phones and tablets.

Known limitations

  • The free sample chapter is currently delivered as a PDF that is not yet fully tagged for screen readers. If you would like the chapter in an alternative format, contact us and we will provide one.
  • The 3D book cover treatment on the homepage is decorative; the cover image carries a text alternative.

If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us using the contact details below. We treat accessibility reports as a priority.

What we do not use

This website does not use an automated accessibility overlay or widget. We address accessibility directly in the site’s code rather than relying on a third-party overlay.

Reporting an accessibility barrier

If you have difficulty using any part of condomanual.com, or you need information from this site in an alternative format, contact us directly. We do not require an online form to report a barrier, because the form itself may be the obstacle.

Ongoing improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We continue to test the site and prioritize fixes so condomanual.com remains usable for the widest possible audience. This statement will be updated as the site is reviewed and improved.
